“LEONARDO & LUINI, THE MASTER AND THE MOST TALENTED PUPIL"

After visiting Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper and nearby church of St. Maria delle Grazie, tour will continue at former Benedictine convent of S. Maurizio where Bernardino Luini, one of Leonardo’s most talented followers, painted in the early 16th century a cycle of frescoes of extraordinary beauty that still enchant visitors centuries after. The church of San Maurizio at the Major Monastery is quite a unique example of Leonardo’s heritage in Milan years after his demise and the unfortunate downfall of the Sforza’s dynasty.

ENGLISH Guided tour. Headsets for better listening are provided for groups larger than 12 participants.
Duration: h.2:00/2:30 (including a total of approximately 20’ walking time).
